This San Francisco based Rock Band is turning a new page in Rock. The band's sound is a mixture of classic and 90's rock.
Band History:
In the fall of 2002, Al was in search to form a band that would touch and connect with people in a music level. To make that happen, he needed to find the right people that would share the same vision. Fate or luck, he was able to find Marck who let his guitar playing speak for itself. A beautiful yet piercing way that gives the songs justification. It was an instant connection for both of them. These two jammed tunes the entire next year creating the killer riffs you hear in the songs 'Whispers From The Dark', 'Alive', and 'Oasis'.
In the following year, these guys went to a party from a mutual friend. It just so happened that Jayson Dela Cruz was at the same party. Anyone who knows Jayson, knows that music is his life and by luck, these three got together and played music the following day. There was an instant chemistry in air. After only a few short weeks of jamming out on a daily basis, the band 'Sudden Fuse' was created. The guys knew they could not be complete without a lead singer; so commenced the search.
After several lead singers and auditions, the band got a call from Ricky Ratcliff, asking if they were still auditioning. Sadly, the band had just found a lead singer and told him the auditions were over. The singer didn't work out and Ricky received a call from 'Sudden Fuse' for an audition in 2005. Ricky knew this was the band he had been waiting for since he first picked up a mic. He went to the audition and instantly clicked with 'Sudden Fuse' like they had known each other for years.
The guys jammed out with a friend playing drums; adding Ricky's songwriting and vocals and Jayson's bass music influence, the songs written to complete the album are perfect.
At that time, they all sat down together thinking that 'Sudden Fuse' would be a common name, they needed something new, edgy and something to describe the band's diverse ethnic background. The new name “SAGAVAL” was mentioned over drinks as just an idea and this name hit the band like a hurricane. And so from that day forward, the band has been known as SAGAVAL.
And Since March, 30, '08, they acquired the missing piece to fuel up this machine in the name of Ricardo Vallin. Newest Member and New Drummer. who possesses drumming abilities that justify the music of SAGAVAL!With a consistent following in San Francisco and surrounding Bay Area, SAGAVAL looks towards being the next big band. Armed with melodic songs and catchy tunes, it'll push them with the dream of changing the lives and connecting with each and every listener. Come along...it promises to be one helluva ride!
